School Accreditation and Teacher Qualification: K-12 National and International Pathways
Upcoming Annual Conference

Overview

BalancED's upcoming Annual Conference brings together education leaders, policymakers, accreditation and quality-assurance bodies, school leaders, universities, teacher-development institutions, and national and international education experts to examine two interconnected foundations of educational quality: school accreditation and teacher qualification.

The conference explores national and international approaches to accreditation, quality assurance, teacher preparation, professional certification and licensing, and career progression, while considering how these different pathways can contribute to the continued development of education in Egypt.

Through a general session and three focused panel discussions, the conference creates a platform for dialogue, comparison, and collaboration around the standards, systems, and professional pathways that support high-quality schools and highly qualified educators.

Conference Focus

The conference is structured around three interconnected areas:

International School Accreditation

Exploring international education accreditation models operating in Egypt across the American, British, IB, French, and German systems, with a focus on accreditation and authorization pathways, quality assurance, school readiness, and continuous improvement.

Examining how different international education systems prepare, qualify, certify, and license teachers, including pathways such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England, teacher certification and licensure within the American system, and other internationally recognized pathways into the teaching profession.
